About

Founder-led engineering, built to last.

Nyxora Labs is founded by Edwin Lungatso — a Nairobi-based software engineer who has co-founded two startups, shipped AI products during a US fellowship, and spent years building production systems where things actually have to work.

Nyxora Labs is a founder-led engineering studio operating out of Nairobi. The work spans software engineering, cloud infrastructure, automation, and the foundational practices that make security a first-class concern — not an afterthought.

Edwin built his engineering instincts across a range of environments: co-founding FarMight, an agritech platform for Kenyan smallholder farmers; shipping five AI products in seven weeks at the Headstarter AI Fellowship in the US; and delivering e-commerce systems for clients at Uppr.works. He co-organises Claude Community Kenya, one of the fastest-growing AI practitioner communities in East Africa.

The studio is intentionally small — each engagement gets direct founder attention. Security isn’t aspirational here: Sentinel, a live posture scanner, is the artifact behind the claim. The long-term direction is toward intelligent systems and deeper security work — an ambition the architecture and brand are built to support without rework.

Values

How the work gets done.

Engineering, not decoration
Software that solves the problem in front of it, sized to the actual constraints. No premature abstraction, no infrastructure built for hypothetical scale.
Systems thinking
Every component is part of a larger system. The interesting decisions live at the boundaries — how parts compose, where state lives, who is responsible for what.
Long-term clarity
Code, infrastructure, and documentation should still make sense in a year. Clarity is a feature; it has to be designed in, not added later.
Operational discipline
A system that nobody can debug is not really running. Observability, runbooks, and the boring work of maintenance are part of the deliverable.
Timeline

Trajectory.

    Nyxora Labs founded

Established as a founder-led engineering studio in Nairobi, focused on intelligent software systems.

  2. 2025

    Claude Community Kenya

Co-organised CCK from the ground up — seven professional lanes, community rulebook, events across Nairobi and Kisumu.

  3. 2024

    Headstarter AI Fellowship

Shipped five AI products in seven weeks. Co-founded CookyChef — an AI-powered food tech startup — as the capstone project.

  4. 2024

    Uppr.works

Delivered custom e-commerce solutions for SMEs, artists, and organisations transitioning from physical to digital operations.

  5. 2023–2025

    FarMight — Co-Founder & CTO

Co-founded an agritech platform connecting Kenyan smallholder farmers to experts, inputs, and on-site services. Led all technical decisions from inception (late 2023) through investor pitch and beta; the venture wound down in April 2025.
